Georgia "Georgie" V. Smallwood, 63, of Indian Mountain, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday morning, October 1, 2010.
Born in Sussex, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Viola (Travis) Carhart.
Georgie was a retired office administrator for the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association and was a member of MCA Curling Club. She was an avid curler, enjoyed knitting, sewing, spending time at the family trailer in Bass River, playing cards, especially 200's, 45's, hearts, and spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters.
Georgie will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years, J. Harold Smallwood; daughter, Heather Arsenault (Mike), Moncton; son, Quinn (Trudi), Pine Glen; granddaughters, Bailey and Mackenzie; brothers and sisters, David Carhart (Dorothy), Deryl Carhart (Heather), Wendy McLong (David), all of Sussex, and Beth Carhart, of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, October 4, 2010, 11:00 am, Rev. Alexander (Sandy) Sutherland officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Zion Presbyterian Cemetery, West Branch.
