It is with sadness we announce the passing of William Cole, 84, of New Waterford, on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at the QE II in Halifax.
Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Joseph Albert and Eliza (Penny) Cole.
William was a member of All Saint Anglican Church. He was instrumental in the development of the NDP here in New Waterford and was an active and strong supporter of the party until his passing.
He is survived by nieces, Winnie, Theresa, Marilyn, Janice and Phyllis; nephews, Lawrence, Bobby and Raymond and their families.
William was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by sisters, Eliza Wesley, Anna MacLean and Emma Ryan, brothers, John Robert Cole and Joseph Cole.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Burial will be in All Saints Anglican cemetery at a later date.
