Passed peacefully away on Monday, June 8, 2009 at St. Clare’s Hospital after a brief illness, Alfred Lewis, age 80 years. Predeceased by brothers: Aubrey and Nathan; sister Ida Evans; brother-in-law Gerald Evans; sister-in-law Joyce Lewis; parents: Simeon and Susannah Lewis. Leaving to mourn two brothers: Daniel and James; sister Lilly Beatrice Hillier (Donald); also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 10-12, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and 12-12 noon on Wednesday. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Gower Street United Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
