It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rebecca "Betty" Locke announce her sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010, at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: her devoted husband of 50 years, Willis. Also missing her every day will be her six children: Willis Jr. (Angeline), James (Darlene), Thelma (Roland) Brake, Terrance (Irene), Anne-Marie (Wallace) Decker, Reg (Pauline Gilley); her nine loving grandchildren: Stephanie Decker, Steven Brake, Patricia Locke, Gavin Doyle, Tonya Layden, Jennifer Wells, Jeremy Locke, Carl Brake and Joshua Locke; Big Nanny to her precious great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Hailey, Nathan, Faith, Austin, Colton, Clayton, Kirsten, Jaida and Jordan. She will also be remembered by her two brothers: Raymond (Yvonne) Rumbolt and Chesley Rumbolt and her five sisters: Dulcie Hynes, Melvie (Pius) Tatchell, Emmas (Jack) Rumbolt, Nellie Rumbolt and Philomena Rumbolt. She is predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Mary Rumbolt; her two sisters: Madonna and Marie; and great-granddaughter, Courtney. Visitation took place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and continues on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, October 7th, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 12 Noon. Funeral service will take place at Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mount Bernard Avenue, on Thursday, October 6th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Don Leonard officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
