Ovila LeBlanc

1922-2010 - Ovila LeBlanc, 87 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010. Ovila was married to the late Rita (Cormier) LeBlanc (1991). Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on November 19th, 1922, he was the son of the late Cyril and the late Sarah (Cormier) LeBlanc. He was a carpenter by trade, and a former member of the Bouctouche Golden Age club. Ovila will be sadly missed by his five children, Alberta Cormier (Donald Jaillet) of Bouctouche Bay, Rhéal (Antoinette), Oscar both of Bouctouche, Fernand (Dianne) of Sainte-Anne de Kent, and Paul (Simone) of Cap-Lumière. He also leaves to mourn, his nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one son Alderice, three sisters, Annie, Laura, Nathalie, five brothers, Eddée, Arthur, Alphée, Deus, Alyre and a special friend Vénolia.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be at the Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Ovila's memory donations can be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche (506-743-7344) or to the "Fonds de secours au seuil de l'espoir". Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
