Lorraine Irene Godreau (née Woodcock), 69, of Saint John, NB passed away peacefully on October 5, 2010. Born November 13, 1940 in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Helen (Publicover) and George Woodcock. Lorraine was an ever-faithful wife and mother who bore her love for her family always in her heart. She will be dearly missed by her five children Stephen (Mindy), Mark (Sheri), Christina (Sean) McDonald, Jamie (Carrie), and Jeanette and ten grandchildren Bethany & Aidan, Alexander & Gary, Tessa & Jake McDonald, Abigail, Spencer, & Maxwell, & Dominick. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Noel, brother James Woodcock and twin grandchildren Molly and Shea McDonald. Before marrying Noel she worked as a lab tech at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. After marrying into Noel's family she found the big family that she had always craved. She adored her brothers and sisters-in-law. She was a life long member of the C.W.L. and a devoted Catholic. She loved her church and community and could always be found watching all the children of the neighbourhood and feeding them some of the four-dozen cookies she baked daily. She had a ready smile and a twinkling wit that emanated from her with her mischievous giggle. She will be treasured forever in the hearts of all who knew her. She lived and loved for her family.
