It is with great sadness that the family of the late ROY GILBERT THORNHILL of Grand Le Pierre formerly of Fortune announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Friday October 1, 2010 at the age of 51. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Hannah of 30 years; son Gilbert Thornhill of St. John's; daughter Shelly (Thomas) Crews of Brooks, AB; sisters Jackie (Kevin) Brooks and Marilyn Thornhill of Ottawa, and ON; brothers Sheldon (Betty) Thornhill and Rodney Thornhill of Ottawa, ON; 3 grandchildren Tommy, Andrew and Emily Crews; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by daughter Deanna Susanna and parents Minnie & Gilbert Thornhill. Funeral Service took place at the United Church in Fortune on Monday October 4, 2010 at 2:00pm. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery in Fortune. In Roy's memory, donations may be made to the Thornhill Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
