Siddall, Anne Bertha - 88, Truro, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at The Mira, Truro. Born in Brookside, Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Eva (McNutt) McRae. Anne served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War after which she met and married Willis Siddall. Once her children started school, she began a 20 year career working at Stanfield's Ltd. She was active in the Salmon River Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary. She was also with the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary. In 1999 she received the Lillian Clarke Award as the most deserving member of the Ladies Auxiliary. With her husband, she enjoyed camping, dancing, playing cards and traveling, including several cross country trips to visit family. She is survived by daughters, Dianna (Cliff) Fisher, Ladysmith, B.C.; Pat (Stephen) Oakes, New Westminster, B.C.; sons, Wendell (Candace), Calgary, Alta.; Robert (Loretta), Lower Sackville, N.S.; sisters, Ethel Robb, Truro; Alice (Earl) McNutt, Etobicoke, ON; grandchildren, Darren and Jonathan Fisher, Andrew (Erin), Gillian, and Graham Siddall, Joshua and Gabriel Oakes, Rachel Siddall; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Willis; sister, Myrtle Roode; brothers, Ivan, Walter and Russell McRae. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 8th from 7-9 pm with a Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary Service at 7:00 pm with a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 9th at 2:00 pm, all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Cory Somers officiating. Interment in the Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada - Truro Chapter.
