Mabel Scott (Long), 61 years old, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2009 following a six year struggle with cancer. She lived life to the fullest in spite of her disease.
She is the daughter of Lucy and the late Lawrence Long.
She will be missed by her husband of 43 years, Conrad and her wonderful children, Ronnie (Leah), Tammy (David), Pamela (Simon) and Keith (Tanya), all of Halifax. The greatest gifts in her life were her grandchildren, Megan, Allie, Nicole, Carly, Cameron who loved her very much.
Mabel’s favourite saying was “people are more important than thingsâ€. Mom you are now at home picking daisies with Dylan.
Funeral mass will be held in St. Lawrence Church, Dutch Village Road. at 10 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2009. After mass a reception will be held at the parish hall.
No flowers by request, any donations can be made to the Prescott Group on Prescott Street.
