PICTOU/MULGRAVE – Walter Thomas Bouchie, 57, of Pictou, and formerly of Mulgrave, died suddenly June 9, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Mulgrave, he was a son of the late Jack and Myrtle (MacDonald) Bouchie.
Dad was a lover of nature and all things beautiful. He was an avid fisherman and would spend hours in his canoe paddling to his favourite spot to fish or just relax and enjoy the scenery. He was an amazing father and gave more love than words can express to his children: Antonia, Dunnville, Ontario; Troy, Pictou; and Chandra, Halifax; he was a very proud Papa and adored by granddaughter, Isabella. Also surviving are brothers, Lawrence, British Columbia; Tony, Mulgrave; sister, Mary Jean Crowell, Havre Boucher; and former wife, Barb Digdon, Pictou.
Besides his parents Walter was predeceased by brothers: Cap, John, Joe, Doug, and Mossie.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. A private graveside service will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Mulgrave, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating.
