It is with great sadness the family of Ruby Newell announce her passing on October 7, 2010, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, aged 79 years. She is predeceased by her husband Alton, parents Sadie and George Roberts, brother Ernie and brother-in-law Lou Poirier. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories 14 children: Judy (John Gentry), Joe (Helen Woodford), Lily (Ken Penton), Philip (Marie) Donald (Marilyn), Daphne (Patrick Boland), Alton Jr. (Mary), Gloria (Jerry Harris), Linda (Dave Joy), June (John Baker), Roger (Jeanette), Robert (Krista Aucoin), Mary (Michael Baker) and Ruby (Wayne Baker); 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Don (Cynthia), Victor, Harold (Ida) Roberts; sisters: Jean (Ed), Shirley and Cynthia (Gerald). Ruby's 14 children will miss her warm smile and guidance. Ruby will be missed by a family friend, Judy Hogan and her best friend Tony Jones.
