The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Thursday, October 7, 2010, of David Charles Arnold of Charlottetown and formerly of Sackville, N.B., and Frome, England, age 82.
David was the beloved father of Patrick, England; Judith (Stephen Scurr), Hampshire, P.E.I.; Julian, England; and Victoria, Wales. He is also survived by his grandson, Qwyntyn Scurr. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (nee Owen).
David was a Professor of Marine Biology from 1964-1979 at Mount Allision University, Sackville, N.B., and also taught math and science at Warleigh Manor School, Bath, England, until his retirement in 1992.
No visitation or memorial service by personal request.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
