Winona was a life long member of the Anglican community. She attended St. George's Church and the Church of Christ the King. Throughout her life, Winona contributed to her community by doing volunteer work with her church and the cancer society.
Winona treasured social time with family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Nothing pleased her more than preparing food to share with family and friends and for church functions.
Following her diagnosis with cancer, the CBRH Palliative Care Program became very important to Winona. The services provided by the program enabled her to live with dignity until her death. Those seeking to commemorate Winona's life may wish to consider a charitable donation to the CBRH An Cala Unit or the Church of Christ the King.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Church of Christ the King, with a reception to follow. Honouring Winona's wishes, there will be no visitation.
Flowers respectfully declined.
