The passing of Miriam "June" Greer of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Robert "Waldo" Greer occurred on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Charlotte "Lottie" (Fletcher) McConnell. June enjoyed travelling, socializing and was a real people person; she especially loved her family. June is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Shirley) Astles of Fredericton, NB, Maureen (Richard) Bell, Wendy (Ernie) Munden and Pam (Dave) Corey all of Douglas, NB; grandchildren, Tim, Terry and Robert "Rob" all of Vancouver, BC, Christy White of AB, Stephanie Bell (Mel Norton) of Saint John, NB, Shawn Bell of Toronto, ON, Rory (Tracy) Bell of Moncton, NB, Ryan Bell of BC, Patrick Bell of NF, Melissa Munden (Andrew Steeves), Caitlyn Munden, Adrian Corey, Robyn Corey, Blair Corey and Ashley (Patrick) Drost all of Fredericton, NB; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Geraldine Greer of Fredericton, NB; brother, Gordon McConnell of Wirral, NB; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Douglas Baptist Church on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Peter Moore officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, Douglas Baptist Church Youth Group or the charity of the donor's choice.
