It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Alfred Toth of the Kingston Peninsula, widower of the late Janet (Logan) Toth, which occurred on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born 1937 in Hungary to the late Janos and Marea (Vikelety) Toth. Alfred worked for Irving Paper as a Millwright for over 23 years before retiring. He was a member of the Friday Night Bowling League and enjoyed helping people , was creative and had an incredible ability to fix or find a purpose for anything that was broken. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Alfred is survived by his daughter Cathy Bitong (Jerry) of Toronto, ON; step-children Deborah Marr (Stephen) of Houston, TX, Robert Silver (Darlene) of Willow Grove, Wendy Stoneham (Scott) of Kingston Peninsula and Daniel Silver (Wanda) of Willow Grove; one brother Zoltan Toth and one sister Margaret Kochif both of Hungary; six grandchildren Alicia, Josh, Robbie, Ashley, Trevor and Ryan, several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents Alfred was predeceased by his wife Janet Toth and one brother Julius Toth.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. with visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, October 15 from 2 to4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 16 at 11:30 a.m. Private family interment at a later date.
