Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at age 69, Boyd William George, retired Chief Purser from Marine Atlantic. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Elizabeth of 48 years, son Richard (Lourdes), daughter Cindy (Tony) Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Justin and Amanda Fitzgerald, Christopher, Bradley and Sheldon George and their mother Michelle; mother Effie George residing at Hoyles-Escasoni Complex; sister Elaine (Frank) Lenbach of Alberta; nephew Jim (Debbie) Carlton of Alberta; sisters-in-law: Norma (Frank) Rose, Patsy (Walt) Barrington, and Judy Cranford; brothers-in-law: Cliff (June) Cranford, Fred Cranford, Junior (Loraine) Cranford and Fred Tizzard; aunts: Anne Bragg and family of Nova Scotia and Betty Cantrell and family of Georgia, also a large number of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service from Church of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, on Saturday, June 13th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date.
