Armand Despres, 78, of Boishebert St., Shediac passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton surrounded by his family. Born in Rogersville, August 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Ceofred and Marie Jeanne (Chiasson) Despres. He worked for the Town of Shediac as a heavy equipment operator for 10 years and was a member of the Golden Age Club in Scoudouc. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Armand will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years Francine (Caissie) Despres; two daughters: Armande Melanson (Roland) of Shediac, Donna LeBlanc (Léo) of McDougall Settlement; four sons: Réjean (Della), Daniel (Micheline) and Michael (Christina) all of Scoudouc, Ronald (Lise) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; two sisters: Laudia Richard (late Yvon) of Moncton, Eveline LeBlanc (Euclide) of Memramcook Lake; two brothers: Ernest (Thérèse Lanteigne) of Montréal, QC, Euclide (Yvette) of Rogersville; ten grandchildren, a sister-in-law Maria St. Pierre of Shediac, and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by two brothers: Lionel and Alfred and by two sisters: infant Maria Despres and Stella McCaie. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:35 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 11a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
