Passed peacefully away after a short illness in the presence of her loving family on June 12th, at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre. Bride B. Dumelie, born in Marystown, in her 63rd year. Predeceased by her parents Austin and Bernice (nee Ducey) Pike, step-mother Mary Pike and grandparents, with special mention of grandmother (Girl), Cecelia Pike. Leaving to mourn daughters Penny (Jody Offen) and Peggy (Gerry Taylor); grandchildren Natasha, Tommy and Chelsey; sisters Joan (John) Hawkins, Margaret (Russ) Murphy and Flora (Ern) Pennell; brother Ken (Sandra) Pike; half-sister Karen (Shawn) Farrell; half-brother Carl (Jennifer) Pike; stepbrother William Power and loyal friend Fr. Maurice Minne and aunt Flora Beal. Also leaving to mourn nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place at her request. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. Family visitation will take place Saturday June 13th, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday June 14th, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Newfoundland Drive, on Monday June 15th, at 1 p.m. with Inurnment and Committal Service to take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marystown on June 16th at 2 p.m. Special thanks to the staff at St. Clare's and the Palliative Care Unit, L.A.
