COULSTRING (Weatherbee), Eva - 91, formerly of Queen Street, Truro, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Elk Court, Brookfield. Born June 2, 1919, in Lower Truro, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Rebecca (Ferguson) Weatherbee. Anyone who knew Eva will remember her great sense of humour and quick wittiness, being able to bring a smile to anyone's face at any time. She enjoyed playing bingo and reading until her health declined. She trained at VG Hospital, Halifax, to become a C.N.A. and she continued to work there for 20 years. She returned to Truro area after the death of her second husband. Eva was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by her children, Kenneth Mattinson, Vancouver, BC; Donald (Paulette) Mattinson, Middle Stewiacke; Velma McIntyre, Truro; Judith Reid (Hugh MacEwen), Bass River; Wendy Snook, Sydney; step-daughter, Sandra Coulstring, California; grandchildren, Sharon McIntyre, Bruce McIntyre, Denise (Reid) Clarke, Gordon Reid, Cindi Mattinson, Donald Craig Mattinson, Michelle Mattinson, Stephen Snook, Vicki Delaney, Alison Dye; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Katherine Weatherbee; several nieces and nephews; Along with her parents, Eva was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence Mattinson (Father of Children); second husband, Harold Coulstring; step-son, Paul Coulstring; siblings, Ethel O'Brien, Reta O'Brien, Edith Rogers, Foster, Herman, Hugh. Many thanks to the staff of Elk Court for their exceptional care of Mom and attention to her family. Respecting Eva's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
