BARRETT, Emmie– Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, Emmie Barrett (nee Pearce) of Arnold’s Cove, aged 61 years. Predeceased by her father Lemuel Pearce, sister Velma Smith and brother-in-law Kenneth Barrett. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Walter of 44 years; sons: Glenn (Debbie), Southern Harbour and Jerry (Sheila), Arnold’s Cove; mother Hannabella Pearce; grandchildren: Giselle, Brady, Bailey, Mandy and Dylan; sisters: Joyce (Eldred Williams), Arnold’s Cove, Ethel Barrett, Come-by-Chance, Jessie Myles, Mount Pearl and Judy (Nelson Hynes), Arnold’s Cove; brothers: Wade Pearce (Thelma), Arnold’s Cove, Randy Pearce, Arnold's Cove and Ray Pearce (Bertha), Come-by-Chance; brother-in-law Clyde (Pauline), Arnold’s Cove and a large circle of family and friends.
