The passing of Carl Frederick Bartlett of Fredericton, NB, husband of Greta (Flinn) Bartlett occurred on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 24, 1924 in Williamsburg, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Annie (O'Hara) Bartlett. Carl worked for the CNR for 35 years. He was a member of the Marysville Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15. In addition to his wife of 67 years, Greta, Carl is survived by his daughter, Anne Jones of Lincoln, NB and son, Jim Bartlett (Sheila) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Carrie Wiggins (Steve), Eddie Bartlett, Kirk Jones and Kim McCoy (Chris Kendrick); great grandchild, Mackenzie Kendrick; sisters, Greta Street of Bristol, RI, USA and Vivian Coughlan (Gordon) of Halifax, NS; brothers, Vincent Bartlett (Jean) of Williamsburg, NB and Robert Bartlett (Inez) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant daughter, Margaret Ellen Bartlett; grandson, Dana Jones; sister, Cora Scott and brother, Otto Bartlett.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 3 pm with Rev. Mac Campbell officiating. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery.
