It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean Ann Thornhill announce her sudden passing at her residence in her 60th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Jacob; her parents, Mildred and Michael Simon of Deer Lake; her twin sister, Joan (Peter) Rowsell of Steady Brook, Mary (Steven) Roberts of Labrador City, Joyce (Barry) Slade, Patricia (Brian) Wellon, Rose (Terry) Barnes; brother, Sean (Lynette), all of Deer Lake, David (Judy) of Jeffrey’s and Amos (Dianna) of Sakatchewan; her extended family: Sadie (Oswald) Dominix of Little Bay East, Ruby (Sidney) Evans-Poole of English Harbour West, Alex (Laura) of Bishop Falls, Maizie Pierce of Lunenburg, NS, Hazel Bullen of English Harbour West and Phil (Joan) of Halifax; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends on the island and in Labrador. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake, today, Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Devine officiating.
