OTTERSON, Marjorie Jean "Marj" - 66, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday evening, October 22, 2010, at Colchester Regional Hospital. Born September 22, 1944, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late George and Nellie (Addlington) Laird. Marjorie worked at Snook's Save Easy and then Ryan's IGA, where she worked as a meat cutter for many years. She was a member of DCSC (Disabled Consumer Society of Colchester). She loved watching baseball and cheering on her favourite team, Toronto Blue Jays, and watching NASCAR racing, cheering on Dale Earnhardt. She also enjoyed nature and watching and feeding the birds. Marjorie was a true family woman and cherished the time spent with her family and friends - she will be greatly missed. Marjorie is survived by her children, Mechelle Otterson, Calgary, Alberta; Angella Otterson, Truro; Kim Pettis, Arron Otterson, Krista Otterson; grandchildren, Brendon McCallum, Calgary, Alberta; James and MacKenzie Robar, Truro; four other grandchildren; sisters, Anne (Richard) Chiasson, Bible Hill; Geraldine (Edward) Arseneau, Truro; brothers, Wallace (Sally) Laird, Truro; Edward (Diane) Laird, Bible Hill; several nieces and nephews. Private family interment has taken place in Middle Stewiacke Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Marjorie's memory to DCSC (Disabled Consumer Society of Colchester) are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
