It is with great sadness that the family of the late Algon Brake announce his passing on Sunday, October 24th, 2010 at his family residence in his 84th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Geneva (nee Hann), children Charles (Patsy), Elliott (Melva), Barry (Kaye), Morris (Bonnie), Elizabeth (Wilf), Darlene (Gerard), Patricia (Rudy), Denise (Gord) and Wendy (Glenn), 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, his brother Scott (Floria) Brake of Trout River, also a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Robert & Ada, daughters: Geraldine Crocker and Elaine Strowbridge, grandson Mervin, brothers: Matland, Bryant and Elliott, sister Elizabeth Payne. Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Trout River today, Tuesday, where also the funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Laing officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake.
