(1919 - 2010) - POKEMOUCHE - At the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, Monday, October 25th, 2010, at the age of 91, passed away Isidore E. Robichaud, husband of Éveline Chiasson. Born in Pokemouche, more recently living in Bathurst. Son of the late Edouard Robichaud and of the late Philomène St-Pierre. Survived by 16 children: Isidore (Julie), Edouard (Johanne), Thérèse (late Edward Caissie, Jean-Marie Chenard), Adrienne (Edmond Roy), Jean-Marie (Germaine), Jacqueline (Donat Savoie), Romain (Gloria), Roland (Bernise), Jeannine (Johnny Simard), Annette (Yvon Blanchard), Adrien (Nathalie Albert), Joseph-André (Linda), Étienne, Aubert (Nancy Degrâce), Monique (Alain Éthier), Charles (Monica Zahrndt);33 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Louis (late Ida), Romain (Claire), Marie, Sr Célina sm, and Sr Antoinette fma; one sister in-law, Yvonne (late Alvin); along with many in-laws from the Ferguson and Chiasson families, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife, Birdie Ferguson; one son, Joseph, and his brothers: Alvin, Lucien and Gérard. Mr. Robichaud was a WWII veteran (1939-1945).
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Racicot funeral home (www.mfracicot.ca) on Wednesday, October 27th, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm,and Thursday, October 28th, from 2pm until departure for the funeral service.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Immaculée-Conception RC Church in Pokemouche, NB, on Thursday, October 28th, at 4pm. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated.
