POWER, Bernard–Passed peacefully away on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Health Sciences Centre, after a courageous battle with cancer, Bernard Power, age 62 years. Predeceased by loving wife Diane (nee Hollett), parents Max and Ann Power, sister Patricia Noyes, brothers Tyrone and Ivan Power. Lovingly remembered by and leaving to mourn are his children: Dion (Alison and Julia), Kelly (Shawn Carson), Keith (Clarisse Yoshida); brothers: Sean (Diane), Max (Debbie); sisters: Rudy Janes (Fred, deceased), Isabelle Derwin (Jimmy); sisters-in-law: Ruby Power, Barb Power, Daphne Kennedy (Bill), Bernadette Mercer (Ray, deceased); brothers-in-law: Bob Hollett (Shirley), Dennis Hollett (Roxanne), Tom Hollett (Carol), Derrick Hollett (Linda); also left to mourn are special friends Bride and Clarence Thomas and families, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues at The Wilds in Salmonier. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Sunday, October 12, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, October 13, at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre
