Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, June 15, 2009, of Frances Christena Walsh (nee Dunn) of Charlottetown and formerly of Summerville, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Walsh and loving mother of Anne Smith, Marie McManus (Jim), Cecelia MacGillivray (John - deceased), Kenneth Walsh (Anne) and George Walsh. Frances is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Power (Louis) and Mary Byrne (Joe); brothers, Gerald (Mick) Dunn (Barb) and Tom Dunn (JoAnne); and sisters-in-law, Bernadette Dunn, Bertha Dunn and Mary-Kaye Dunn. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Walsh; two children in infancy; parents, Harold and Hilda Dunn; sons-in-law, Edward Gill and John MacGillivray; her sister, Florence Curran; her brothers, Joseph, Raymond and Vernon Dunn and brother-in-law, Joe Curran. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, June 17, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, at St. Joachim\'s Church, Vernon River at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Joachim\'s Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
