Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on June 15, 2009, Joan Newman, age 68 years. Leaving to mourn her husband Pearce; daughter, Denise; brother, Richard Sheppard (Christine), Topsail; sisters: Rona Drewell (John), Vancouver; Jean Gandier, Iris Webb (Henry), Ruby Griffith, Gwendolyn Crocker (Harvey) all residents of Bonne Bay and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the Anglican Church of the Epiphany, Woody Point, Bonne Bay. Funeral service will take place from the Anglican Church of the Epiphany on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Woody Point.
