DOROTHY ISOBEL MOORE
March 27, 1919 - June 10, 2009
With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandma and great-grandma on June 10, 2009, as we joyfully celebrate the 90 years she lived. After a brief stay in the Kyle and district Health center she passed away surrounded by family. She is loved and remembered by her 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren - son Bill (Barb), granddaughter Julie (Curtis), great grandchildren Kelsey, Brayden, Hailey and Hannah, grandson Todd (Lisa), great grandchildren Carter and Haydenl; son Bob (Allynn) granddaughter Melissa and great granddaughter Isabell, grandson Brent; daughter Lynn (Frank), granddaughter Kim (Wayne), great grandchildren Clayton, Bailie, Carter and Jacey, granddaughter Rhonda, great grandchildren Dillon and Austen, granddaughter Diane (Dan), great grandchildren Ava and Greta, grandson David (Alison) great grandchildren Samantha and Zane, granddaughter Lindsay and great granddaughter Kiara; son Brian (Susan) grandson Michael (Kristen) and great granddaughter Payton, grandson Jeff (Jill) and grandson Logan (Nicole). As well as many unrelated friends she considered children or grandchildren. There are many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Moore in 1956, infant grandson Kenneth in 1969, and daughter in law Allynn in 2005. Dorothy Isobel Moore was born on March 27, 1919, to William and Maud (Weeks) Lindsay in Rosetown, SK. She grew up on a farm in the Saltburn (Sanctuary) District and attended the Saltburn School. Her siblings were a sister Ruth (1912-1974) and a brother who died in infancy. Dorothy married Charles Moore on June 20, 1947, at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Rosetown, SK. She was a farmer and enjoyed animals, sewing, crocheting, tri chem., gardening, canning, houseplants, bus tours and casino trips. Dorothy was a life member of Eastern Star - Bethel Chapter #66. She was a lifetime A.C.W member and a member of St. Pauls Anglican Church. Her family was most important to her and many joyful afternoons and evenings were spent around her table with coffee, tea, snacks and cribbage or yahtzee games. Her home was always warm and welcoming to any and all. Reverend David Nevett officiated at a celebration of her life. The service was held on Monday June 15, 2009 where her cremated remains were laid to rest with her beloved Charlie at Clearwater Cemetery, Kyle SK.
