It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Ambrose Theron Heighton on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by family.
Born in Stellarton on August 20, 1929, he was a son of the late James and Florence (nee MacLellan) Heighton of Stellarton.

In his younger years he worked as a coal miner in the Albion Mine. He then trained as a welder and worked with I. Matheson and Company in New Glasgow and then Trenton Works from which he retired. He worked hard all his life and provided well for his family.
He will always be remembered for his many walks with his faithful dog "Dandy" until he had to stop due to health reasons.
He will be greatly missed by his Superstore "BUDDIES" on his daily visits, as well as the boys at the bench at the Stellarton Post Office. The girls at Sobeys and the Superstore will never forget him.
He was well known for his compassion for others and his great sense of humor.
