Patrick Mackin
It is with great sadness that the family announce the unexpected death of Patrick K. Mackin, which occurred on November 1, 2010 in Saint John. Pat was a devoted husband for 38 years to Lynn (Morrison) Mackin of Saint John. Born in 1950 in Saint John to the late Loyall G. and Doreen (Payne) Mackin. Patrick was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of the NB Heart Surgery Support Group, the Corps Commissionaires and enjoyed photography and had a passion for Irish music. Besides his wife Lynn, Patrick is survived by his only daughter Melanie Ann Mackin of Saint John; two brothers Brian (Jane) of Fredericton and Gregory (Genessca) of Quispamsis; two sisters Brenda McGraw (Paul) and Sharon Byrne both of Saint John; father-in-law Daniel Morrison of Saint John; sisters-in-law Jane Gandy (Bill) of Quispamsis, Susan Melvin (Bill), Dale Keir (Bob) of Quispamsis and Tiena Delaney (Andy Arseneau) of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents Patrick was predeceased by his brother Paul E. Mackin.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, November 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Catholic Church, 316 Somerset St. on Friday, November 5th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations in Patrick's memory can be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
