Catherine McCuaig, 87, of Parkstone Enhanced Care, formerly of Sydney, we regret to announce has passed away surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 4, 2010.
She was the daughter of Jennie Clarke, New Campbellton and John W. McLennan, New Campbellton.
Survived by sisters, Louise Lutz (Caroll), New Campbellton, Pearl Colvey, Little Bras d’Or and Jennie McLennan, Parkstone Enhanced Care, Halifax. Catherine was a devoted mother of Dorothy Brace (Jim), Calgary, Donnie McCuaig, Hamilton, Ont. and Lorene Milbury (Bernie) of Halifax.
She worked for social services for years as a home care worker. She also volunteered for years at St. John Ambulance.
Catherine will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Marlene Diamond, Edmonton, Kennie Brace, Calgary, Michelle Campbell, Sydney and Susan Gibson, Dartmouth. Also great-grandchildren, Brandon Diamond, Corey Diamond, Edmonton, Tori Campbell and Daycota Campbell, Sydney, and Lora-Lynn Gibson, Dartmouth. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private family graveside service will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, Cape Breton on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 at 11 a.m.
