Budd Brewer
The death of Budd William Brewer, husband of Norma (Dorcas) Brewer, occurred peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Budd and Norma were in their 70th year of marriage. Born in Williamsburg, NB on April 6, 1922, he was the son of the late William and Cora (Fullarton) Brewer. Budd was a retired successful businessman with interests in Lumbering, Brewer’s Fashions and Real Estate. His great passion was salmon fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife, Budd is survived by one daughter, Heather Elizabeth Demont (Joe) of Sherwood Park, AB; two sons, Neil William Brewer (Helena) of Fredericton, NB, Earl Albert Brewer (Sandy) of Fredericton, NB; seven grandchildren, Noreen McGinn (Tom), Mary Price (Mark), Tanya Gaudette (Pierre), Neil Brewer (and their mother Mary), Melissa Bryden (Peter), Patrice LeBlanc (Serge) and Alayna MacGillivray (Andrew) (and their father Gary); fourteen great grandchildren, Sammy, Allie and Christopher; Jacob and Joey; Nicholas and John Mark; Campbell, Tyler and Dylan; William and Braydon; Tyson and Rachael; special niece, Bonnie Sproull and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Budd was predeceased by his grandmother, Clara Fullarton; one brother, James Brewer and one nephew, Ralph Brewer.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home Ltd., 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 2pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating and Rev. Gil MacKenzie assisting. Interment will take place in the Williamsburg Community Cemetery. Donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
