The death occurred at his late residence on Thursday, June 18, 2009, of Mr. Carl Basil Doucette of 17 Evergreen Drive, Charlottetown, in his 64th year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Curley) Doucette, and loving father of Carla (Gary) Doucette, Jeff (Gaylene) Doucette, Jennifer (John) MacKinnon, Mike (Amy) Doucette, and Corey (Lindsay) Doucette. Lovingly remembered by mother-in-law Rita Curley. Sadly missed by grandchildren Jenna, Mikey, Gerrica, Georgia, Adriana, Zachary, Katelyn and Hudson Doucette, Nick and Kerri Lee MacKinnon. Loving brother of Janet Bower, Ernie (Betty) Coyle, Paul (Terri-Ann) Doucette, Alan (Diane) Doucette, Ronnie (Sandra) Doucette, Arlene (Ron) McDonell and Barry (Liz) Doucette. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave (Peggy) Curley, Elizabeth MacDonald, Gerry Curley, George (Elaine) Curley, Jeannie (Roger) MacNeill and Jamie Curley. He was also a caring uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Isadore (Buster) and Muriel Doucette; father-in-law, Pius Curley; brother, Jimmy Doucette; and brother-in-law, Lester Bower.
Resting at the Charlottetown Funeral Home, 33-35 Longworth Avenue, until 9:45 Monday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
