Christy Ann Holmes, 69, of Loch Lomond passed away Thurs., November 11, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Framboise, she was a daughter of the late John Allan ‘Red’ and Mary Ann (MacLeod) MacLeod.
Surviving are her son, DJ (Nicole), Edmonton; sisters, Sadie MacIntyre, Margaret ‘Peggy’ Mason, Dolena Brown, Annie (Earl) MacPherson, Donelda (Earl) Drysdale, Mary (Lewis) Blackmore and Maurena (Ron) Seifried: brothers, Angus (Alice), William ‘Billy’ (Christine) and John James (Renee); and grandson, Peter.
Christy was predeceased by her husband, John A. and sisters, Effie, Evelyn and Ruth.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday 1 p.m., with Pastor Kevin Richardson officiating. Interment in MacKeigan Cemetery, Loch Lomond.
Memorials may be made to Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
