Verna Forgey
The death of Verna Winifred Forgey, wife of the late Ferdinand Forgey occurred on Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1912 in O’Leary, PEI she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Eliza (Whalen) MacArthur. Verna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed playing the piano and going for drives. She is survived by her son Ferdinand (Donna) Forgey of Baxter’s Corner; daughters Anna (Bev) Nesbit, Joan (Lorin) Rhyno and Ruth Forgey all of Saint John; grandchildren Don (Mary Joe), Jim, Sharon (John), Bruce (Stephanie), Naomi (Tracey), Amanda and Stacy (Len); great-grandchildren Ben, Devin, Derek, Kyle and Elizabeth; brother John (Noris) MacArthur. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Stanley, Wilfred, Raymond, Lloyd, Nelson and Edgar MacArthur and sisters Laura Garnett, Margaret Henry, Blanch MacArthur and Mildred MacArthur.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
