It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Barbara MacGillivary of Little Lorraine, which occurred on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born in Little Lorraine, Barbara was the daughter of the late Michael T. and Mary (Price) Kennedy.
Barbara was a wonderful wife and loving mother.
Barbara leaves behind her loving husband of 41 years, Louis MacGillivary, who loved her dearly and will sadly miss her. She is also survived by daughters, Barbie (Brian), Point Edward, and Belinda, Little Lorraine; son, Louis Jr. (Joanna), Toronto; grandson, Patrick, and step granddaughter Iva; sisters, Rhoda, Marcella, Halifax, Jackie (Chester) Pyne, Albert Bridge; brothers, Gerard, Jim, Bobby, Howard, Alex, all of Little Lorraine, and Stanley, Sydney.
Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by sisters, Catherine, Alice, and Frances; and one brother Mike.
In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Cape Breton Cancer Society.
