BRANTON, Emily Maud– Of Thornlea. Passed peacefully away at Lion’s Manor, Placentia on November 12, 2010, age 98 years. Predeceased by her husband Wilson (1981), mother & father Sarah Elizabeth & Caleb Thorne, four sisters Doris Thorne, Floretta Pender, Janet Rabun, Louisa Hatcher and one brother Robert Thorne. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are daughter Doris George (Fred) and son Calvin Branton (Marion). She also leaves to mourn nine grandchildren including Doris Power (Merrill) whom she raised, 19 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Elizabeth Miller and Evelyn Dicks (Eric) and sister-in-law June and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Faith United Church, Thornlea from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Faith United Church Memorial Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
