1921 - 2010 - Hector Babineau, 89 of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Sainte-Anne de Kent passed away peacefully at the Manoir on Sunday, November 14th, 2010. He was married to the late Geneviève (LeBlanc) Babineau (2000). Born in Richiboucto-Village on March 26, 1921 he was the son of the late Cécime and the late Marie Marguerite (Richard) Babineau. Hector was a freight handler with CPR in Saint John for 20 years. He was a veteran of WWII, and served overseas with the North Shore Regiment from 1941 to 1945, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Hector will be sadly missed by all of his nephews and nieces, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one step-son, Lorenzo Babineau (1997), three sisters, Eugénie, Délia, and Adelina, and four brothers, Roméo, Donat, Alban, and Edoaurd.
Visitation will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 1 to 2:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church, on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 at 3:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
