It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear sister Agnes who passed away at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Alex Angus and Mary Cecile (Aucoin) MacIsaac.
Agnes was one of the first residents of the Louisdale Community Home, Duncan Road, Louisdale, where she resided for the past 15 years. She referred to this as her second home and her extended family.
She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Forbes (John), Ottawa, Diana Miller (Gerry), Truro, Betty Marchand, Louisdale; sister-in-law, Doris (LaVallee), Saskatchewan; brothers, Raymond (Lenora), New Waterford, Maurice (Moe), Marion Bridge, Alex J. (Carmel), Timberlea, Francis (Debbie), Coxheath, Roger (Debbie), Ottawa, Richard (Carrie), Antigonish.
She was predeceased by brothers, Gordon and Dominic in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in the Glen Sampson Room, Louisdale, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis Church, Louisdale, with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial to take place at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the Louisdale Community Home residents activity fund, or to the charity of one’s choice.
