The death of Peter Lorne Neil Kelly, loving husband to the late Jacquelyn (McMackin) Kelly occurred on Thursday November 18, 2010 at the Saint John Residential Hospice. Born 1934 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Jensen) Kelly. Peter served in the Air Force as an Air Engine Mechanic from 1950-53 and later worked for the Port of Saint John. Devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be greatly missed by his sons Kevin (Jennifer) of St. Thomas, ON and Jeffrey (Beth) of Forest, ON; eight grandchildren Kimberley, Lauren, Ryan, Andrew, Blair, Jordon, Samantha and Spencer; brothers Robert of Vancouver, Charles of AB and John (Laurel) of ON; sisters Margaret McIntyre and Thyra Campbell both of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers Leon, David and Ted and grandson William Kelly.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
