PITTS, Carolyn Anne “Carol” – 65, Bible Hill. It is with great sorrow the family of the late Carolyn Pitts announce her passing on Friday, November 19, 2010, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born December 12, 1944, in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John and Kathleen (Hoare) Pitts. Carol was the most amazing and loving grandmother, mother, aunt, sister and friend. Her family meant the world to her, especially her two beautiful granddaughters, Keona and Keara, and her precious dog, Kaleigh. She was known for her sense of humour and loved by everyone who met her. She worked as a sales clerk at Canadian Tire and Hallidays before going to work at Colchester Correctional Centre until it closed. In 2001, she then went to work at Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Burnside. Carol is survived by her daughter, Tyra (Todd) Hansen; granddaughters, Keona and Keara, all of Blackfalds, Alberta; sisters, Sylvia Burris, Jacqueline Diamond, Truro; Lydia Pitts, North Sydney; brother, John (Lois), Point Aconi; several nieces and nephews. No visitation or service by personal request. Private family interment will be held in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Alma.
