BRAGG, Gertrude “Dolly” Mary (nee Reid)– Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, Gertrude “Dolly” Mary Bragg (nee Reid), aged 81 years. Predeceased by her mother and father William and Eleanor Reid, husband Raymond Bragg, 1998, formerly of Pouch Cove; daughter Lois May Bragg, 1978; brothers George, Ralph, Tim, John, Ronald and Walter (baby), sisters Evelyn, Florence, Hazel, Blanche and Louise. Leaving to mourn her two sons: Neil (Barbara) and Jeff (Christine); four grandchildren: Lois, Jenny, Brendan and Steven (Heather); a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Very special thank you to nieces: Shirley Reid, Shirley Tulk and Joan Clarke for your timeless hours of sitting with our mother; also special nephew Ralph Power and all other relatives and friends too numerous to mention, thank you all! Thank you to the hospital staff and nurses at St. Clare’s, Health Sciences and especially the Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit for making our mother so comfortable and looking after her every need, it meant so much to us. Also thanks to the staff of North Pond Manor in Torbay for their care; Mom loved her short stay with you. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and then on Friday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from The Chapel at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
