MCCARTHY, Marion Claire (nee Murphy)– February 19, 1928 - November 18, 2010. Passed peacefully away at Glenbrook Lodge. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Claire Murphy of St. John’s and brother Michael. Left to mourn her devoted and loving husband Kevin; five children: Derek (Lynn), Sean, Kevin (Kate), Sharon (Gary), Noreen (Ken); granddaughter Ashton and six other grandchildren, also one great-grandchild; brothers: Dr. Gerald Murphy (Kay), Patrick (Ila) Murphy, Ottawa; sisters: Margaret Murphy (Glenbrook Lodge) and Madeline Ryan (Dr. Ed Ryan), Amherst, NS; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Church on Monday, November 22 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
