Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, Mrs. Eliza Jane Pierce, age 72 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn her loving family: husband, John; daughter, Elaine Baker (Leo) at Harbour Breton; sons, John (Cecilia), Leo (Sandra) all at Harbour Breton, Derek (Amanda) at Halifax and Chris (Lori) at Harbour Breton; eight grandchildren, Corina, Gerald, Kristen, Nicole, Cora, Leonard, Brooklyn and Blake; one great grandchild, Nicholas; two sisters, Martha Strowbridge (Bill) and Anne Maude Strowbridge (Murdock) all at Harbour Breton; four brothers, Jim (Evelyn), Stanley (Jane), Richard (Goldie) and Reginald (Georgina) all at Harbour Breton, plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by daughter, Mildred; sister, Charlotte; parents, Stanley and Sarah Tibbo. Funeral service was held on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 3:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery at Harbour Breton.
