NEW GLASGOW – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlotte “Lottie” Theresa Fennell, 84, on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in New Glasgow, July 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Frank Gerrior and Elizabeth (Ryan) Diggins Gerrior.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Frederick John Fennell; brothers: Patrick Diggins, Halifax; John Diggins, Mulgrave; William Diggins, New Glasgow; Andrew Gerrior and William Gerrior, British Columbia; sisters: Cecelia Murphy, Sydney/Mississauga; Theresa Fanning, Hillside; Agatha Ehler, Guysborough County; and Mary Richard, British Columbia, and by great-grandson, Keigan Lucas.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Interment in Lourdes Cemetery.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, VON or charity of choice.
