Lorne Melvin Sadlemyer of Moose Jaw, SK and formerly of Mossbank, SK passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the age of 83 years. Lorne was born on December 14, 1926 in Mossbank, SK to Robert and Grace Sadlemyer. Throughout his life Lorne lived in various parts of Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. In 1974, Lorne moved back to Mossbank to farm. He had worked as a millwright, Watkins salesman and area manager and truck driver. Lorne retired from farming in 1984. He enjoyed the next years traveling throughout Canada and the northern states, while hauling fifth wheel trailers. Lorne moved to Moose Jaw in 2006. Lorne is survived by his daughter Lorelei (Ron) Camphaug of Regina, SK, grandchildren Kristen (James) Barr and their children Kale and Sophie of Regina, SK, Jenna (Terry Peterson) Camphaug of Calgary, AB, Kyle (Chris Richards) Camphaug of Regina, SK; daughter Marjorie (Lloyd) Nagel of Mossbank, SK, grandchildren David (Cherilyn) Nagel and their children Claire and Addison of Mossbank, SK, Lori (Brad) Lien and their children Emma and Ava of Innisfail, AB, Michael (Natalie Atkins) Nagel of Mossbank, SK; son Robert (Carol) Sadlemyer of Olds, AB, grandchildren Brad (Amanda Norsworthy) Sadlemyer and daughter Rebecca of Didsbury, AB, Amanda (Brandon Besaw) Sadlemyer of Fredericton, NB; daughter Pam (Daryl) Ham of Frontier, SK, grandchildren Kiana and Kieran Ham of Frontier, SK; daughter Liane (Bruce) Vance of Prince Albert, SK, grandchildren Jonathon Vance of Lethbridge, AB, Briane and Jessica Vance of Prince Albert, SK; son-in-law Bryan Gallatin of Barrhead, AB, grandchildren Deryl (Michelle) Gallatin and their children Dominyk and Brenden of Cardiff, AB, Jennifer (John) Soucy and their children Cowen and Shaylyn of Barrhead, AB; sisters Irene (Mike) Opyr of Dearborn, Michigan, Audrey (Neil) Windjack of Peebles, SK, Marjorie (Glen) Anderson of Moose Jaw, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Grace (nee Hayter) Sadlemyer, wife Evelyn (nee Sandbeck, 2001) and daughter Cheryl Gallatin (2006). Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapel, Assiniboia, SK at 10:30 a.m. with Wendy Gibson, DLMr, officiant. Eulogy was given by daughter Marjorie Nagel. Urn bearer was grandson David Nagel. Organist was Chris Faris. Interment at Mossbank Cemetery.
