BUTLAND, Mildred (nee Nolan) — Passed peacefully away on Sunday, October 12, 2008, age 89 years. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Winnifred Nolan; husband Stephen and daughter Winnifred, brothers: Joseph, William, Herbert, and George, daughter-in-law Ingegerd Butland and son in law Rory Doherty. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her sons: Raymond (Joyce) Ottawa, George (Annette) St. John’s, David (Theresa) Mount Carmel, daughters: Anna Butland (Emile Comeau) Halifax, Carmelita Bruce (Edward) Long Harbour, Geraldine Doherty (Ron Power), St. John’s, sister Jose, brothers: Simon (Mary) and John (June), son in law Herbert Casey, sisters-in-law: Catherine Daley and Ella Nolan; also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Thanks to the staff of St. Luke’s Homes for their constant care and support to the family. Visitation was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Mary’s Bay on Monday, October 13 from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m, Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral mass Wednesday, October 15 at 2 pm.
