HENLEY, Mary Ellen- Passed peacefully away at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, B.C. in the early hours of Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 after a prolonged illness, Mary E. Henley PhD., in her 81st year, daughter of the late John J. & Catherine Henley. Leaving to mourn her brother Alec G. Henley (Catherine); her nieces and nephews: Libby McNamara (John), Frank Henley (Jeanette), Stephen Henley (Elaine), Ed Henley (Trish), Mary Buncic (Ray), Cathy Henley , Elfie Henley , David Henley (Carol Ann), Elizabeth Henley (John Gregory), Ann Henley, Christopher Henley (Donna), Mike Henley (Dawn), Charlie Henley (Lynn), Rick Harris (Judy), Jack Harris (Ann Martin), Anne Harris Evans, Isabel McCall (Dave), Paul Harris (Verna), Peter Harris (Carol Kennedy), Pat Harris (Brenda), Jim Harris (Yvonne), Janet Henley Andrews, Brian Henley, John Henley (Vicki), Christopher Henley (Sheilagh) and their families. Cousins by the dozen and a large group of friends. Predeceased by sisters Molly (Sister Gonzaga), Isabel Downey (Peter) and Catherine Harris (Dick); her brothers Leo, John, Charles (Rita), James, Tom, Frank (Clare), Ted (Marg) and Pat (Mary) and her nephew John Henley (Janet). Visitation will take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater road on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Requiem and Thanksgiving will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent on Monday, November 29th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. following which burial will take place at the family plot, Belvedere Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations in her memory may be made to St. Bon's College Bursary Subsidy Fund c/o St.?Bonaventure's College, 2A Bonaventure Ave., St. John's, N.L. Canada, A16 6BC or a charity of one's choice.
