the death of John J. Metcalf, formerly of 74 Waterloo St., occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, November 27, 2010. Mr. Metcalf was born in Montreal, a son of the late John and Mary (Nolan) Metcalf, and had resided the greater part of his life in Saint John. He graduated from Saint John Vocational School as an accountant and had been employed at M.R.A.'s and Ogden's Dept. Store until his retirement in 1977. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
